The U1 subway is only 2 stops away from the main station (Südtiroler Platz – Hauptbahnhof) from there you can easily go to the castle Belvedere. Also the town centre is just 4-5 stops away (Karlsplatz with the Opera and Stephansplatz with the Stephansdom cathedral).
